How do you move forward when every job posting feels like a brick wall? One tech professional knew she had the skills for Product Management. But visa restrictions turned her job search into an uphill battle: automatic rejections, ignored applications, and endless frustration. Then she turned to her network using Ask a Blue Devil.

The "ask"

I am a graduate of the Fuqua School of Business, MMS Class of 2019. I have a background in tech, having earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, and have been working in Technical Project/Program Management in startups and professional services organizations. I am seeking advice on navigating the current job market and advancing my career in Product Management.

I am currently facing challenges in finding a new position due to my need for a work visa transfer upon employment. This has resulted in automatic rejections from many applications and limited success with referrals. I am looking for guidance on identifying individuals who can help me bypass the system checks and connect me with hiring teams. Additionally, I am seeking advice on how to strengthen my profile and address any gaps in my experience to become a more competitive candidate for Product Management roles.
