Hi! I am a rising senior from Pittsburgh, PA, majoring in biology and minoring in chemistry. At Denison, I conduct research on bacteriophage therapy, teach cycling classes at the Hoaglin wellness center, participate in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Licking County, and coach the local Granville girl’s youth lacrosse team.

I am honored to serve as the Co-President of Denison’s Pre-Med Association this upcoming year.

Denison’s Pre-Med Association is a club started in 2022 by my wonderful Co-President and senior, Morgan Gilmore, from Denver, Colorado. We are compiling a master list of healthcare professionals (MD, DO, PA, RN, DPT, etc.) who would be open to shadowing or being on a panel for our organization.

It goes without saying that shadowing offers invaluable insights for aspiring medical professionals. It allows them to witness the day-to-day realities of the profession, including the dedication required for long hours, the critical thinking involved in complex decision-making, and the empathy needed to navigate patient interactions. This firsthand exposure helps members gauge their fit within the medical field and make informed decisions about their future careers.

Through this platform, we want to create local and worldwide connections that will allow us to provide these opportunities to our members!
