Challenge

A leading liberal arts college based in Ohio, Denison University has a passionate, global alumni community that expressed a strong desire (though a survey) to get more involved in the student experience. Similarly, Denison’s top-ranked Knowlton Center for Career Exploration wanted more students to have conversations with alumni to help shape their career journeys and find their passions.

Denison’s leadership team decided to invest in new technology that would allow it to accomplish three key goals:

  • Expand and simplify networking to all students and alumni
  • Reduce the work required to support networking and mentoring
  • Increase engagement, volunteering, and philanthropy of constituents

Protopia bridges the gap with alumni who might have otherwise remained disconnected, allowing them to contribute their expertise and support to students and fellow alumni.
