DUKE GRADUATE WANTS TO START HER OWN BEVERAGE LINE

I am passionate about entrepreneurial alumni and students—sue me. Few resources are better for someone starting a venture than their alumni community, especially if they were fortunate enough to attend college.

As a founder, all you have are questions, and alumni are more than ready to share their perspectives and help the “hero” challenging the status quo.

Here’s a story of a recent graduate from The Fuqua School of Business with a Master of Management Studies degree. Interested in the food and beverage industry, they were feeling stuck and looking for help on how to get started.

The "ask"

Hi! I graduated from The Fuqua School of Business in May 2023 with a Master of Management Studies degree, and I received a double bachelor’s degree in Political Economy and Public Policy from Duke Kunshan University and Duke University in 2022.

I am currently based in Los Angeles and am working in marketing and program management at Asia Society. I am looking to connect with Duke alum working in the food and beverage industry to seek advice on how to start a beverage line. I have always been interested in the food and beverage industry and have ideas on starting a brand on non-alcoholic drinks.

I would love to connect with a food scientist or food engineer to get insights and guidance on how to launch a product in the market. I currently need most help in the R&D department and would love to get consultation in this area.
